Description | A study of major issues in philosophy and/or the work of major philosophical figures in philosophy. Topics in philosophy may include theories of reality, theories of knowledge, theories of value, and their practical applications. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes |
Students shall 1. read, analyze and critique philosophical texts; 2. demonstrate knowledge of key concepts, major arguments, problems, and terminology in phiosophy. 3. present logically peruasive arguments both orally and in writing; 4. demonstrate critical thinking skills in evalauation and application of philosophical concepts to various aspects of life; 5. evaluate the personal and social responsibioities of liv8ng 8 a duvere world. |

Core Objectives | The section in epistemology focuses on learning proper reasoning and on the criteria for proper evidence. Every class session will involve written review with followed by oral responses and some and some board work. The section on ethics will focus on developing adequate criteria for ethical decision-making and the application of these skills to the various aspects of life. Students will be requires to develop their own ethical system, as well as the broader perspective of their philosophy of life, using the skills they have learned. | ||||||||
